Introducing i2i Workforce: Bring the Brilliance with our new HR Consulting Partnership

Human resources can be a perplexing maze of compliance, regulations, and behavior. It is not difficult to understand why employment-related practices are a top cause of loss for Pool members. As we have written in the past, well-developed human resources policies and practices can save your district significant amounts of money by improving employee retention and training outcomes as well as avoiding costly claims of discrimination and harassment.

This is why the we joined with i2i Workforce to provide consulting to members. i2i specializes in all aspects of the practice of human resources, including retention, development, training, and recruiting. The company was founded by owner Melodie Reagan, who was a senior executive in the communications industry who learned the value of HR and ensuring team members had the environment, tools and authority to bring their brilliance.

i2i has connected us with two professionals who will serve as experts and consultants to Pool members going forward. They introduced themselves in a webinar in June, and for those who did not participate, here are their biographies:

Diane Windemuller
Diane Windemuller has management-level experience in human resources and recruiting. She has worked in healthcare, manufacturing, public entity, and telecommunications industries. She specializes in reducing attrition, developing and managing key performance indicators, employment law, human resources technology, benefits, compensation, employee relations, engagement, internal communications, recruitment, and more.
Recently Diane successfully served as the HR point person for a team of more than 2,000. She has both a Master’s from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s from Dordt College. She has completed the SPHR/PHR certification program via Colorado State University and is involved with the Boulder Chamber, Boulder Outreach to the Homeless, and other community and professional associations.

This depth of experience and comprehensive education combined with her business savvy makes Diane an ideal HR Business Partner who will go above and beyond to establish and maintain solid working relationships.

Kathryn “Kat” Barker
Kathryn is a seasoned human resources executive with over 25 years of experience. She specializes in providing strategic human resources expertise to organizations ranging between 50 and 5,000 employees. Her specialties include employee relations, management consulting, recruiting, and safety and risk management.
Kathryn’s expertise is built on experience serving as an HR executive in high tech, manufacturing, communications, public entity, and consulting industries. During her corporate experience, Kathryn managed HR staff up to 25 employees who performed work on benefits, compensation, payroll, recruiting, and general HR functions. She has also managed operating budgets up to $1 million at companies with revenues approaching $1 billion.

Kathryn has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Colorado Human Resource Association.
