Nurse Triage Program

The Pool has enhanced services for injured workers who need to report a workers’ compensation incident or injury. Please have any employee who has been injured at work and is seeking medical treatment call 800-318-8870 and use extension 1, option 1, then option 2.

Your employee will be able to report the information necessary to report an incident. If seeking medical treatment, they will be able to talk to a nurse immediately who will help assess the situation, help determine appropriate medical treatment and identify a medical provider for treatment and will provide instructions for home care.

The nurse will provide instructions for the employee as well as contact the medical provider should the employee need medical treatment.

Additionally, the workers’ compensation contact at your district will receive a written report of the incident via email. Nurse triage will help provide the employee with the proper information in order to treat the injury at home, or prompt appropriate access to health care, and provide immediate access to healthcare personnel for injured employees. An injury can be a difficult event for employees and this will help the individual as well as increase employee satisfaction.

You may continue to report injuries in the manner you have in the past; however, we believe this is a benefit to you and your employees. Please call us if you have any questions and would like to review this new program for your district.
